The Basic Botanical Blueprint Workshop introduces participants to the fascinating printing process which dates back to 1800s. Participants will create stunning Prussian-blue prints by harnessing the power of sunlight, water, and natural materials.

In this session, participants will:

– Learn the brief history and science behind the cyanotype process.
– Explore the elements of art such as composition, shape, and texture through nature-inspired designs.
– Collect and arrange botanical specimens (leaves, flowers, stems) onto sensitised paper or fabric.
– Watch as sunlight transforms their compositions into unique blueprints.

Rinse and reveal their very own one-of-a-kind botanical print to take home.

This beginner-friendly workshop requires no prior art experience — only curiosity and a love for exploration! It is perfect for students, educators, hobbyists, and anyone who enjoys connecting with both creativity and nature.

By the end of the programme, participants will gain:

-A deeper appreciation for the natural environment.
-An understanding of how accident and experimentation play a role in art-making.
-A personalised blueprint artwork to keep as a lasting memory.

Kindly email your preferred photographs in the highest resolution to info@projectblue.sg at least 7 days prior to your workshop date.

- Please ensure that the photos meet the following guidelines:
  - No nudity
  - No offensive or violent messages or images.
- We reserve the right to reject any photographs that are deemed inappropriate.

Please allow 7 days for processing, as we will be checking and rendering the photographs (You may be requested to provide a new image if the one submitted is pixelated.) and forwarding them to an external vendor for negative printing.
